Colour Type – Orangish Pink — While undeniably beautiful, this stone does not qualify as a Padparadscha Sapphire. Its crystal body is predominantly pink, with the orange tones created by iron inclusions within the pavilion. When viewed face-up, however, these colours combine beautifully, giving the stone the appearance of a strongly saturated Pinkish Orange Sapphire.

Comment - Beautiful Intense Colored Sapphire.  This cut stone was purchased by us from a reseller in Ratnapura town on our buying trip in Nov 2025.  The rough was originally purchased in Nivithigala and was mined close to Nivithigala.

Clarity & Cut

Inclusions in natural coloured gem stones are a positive sign to differentiate them from man-made materials. Clarity of a gemstone is one of the price determining factors, alongside with colour, cut, and carat weight.  Normally in a fine gem inclusions are not visible to the naked eye. In cheaper stone inclusions can be obvious from a certain angle.  We photograph all stones from different angles with no editing to show the maximum interior. However, you may reveal more internal features when you study the stone thoroughly. Having said that, the closest to seeing the real gem would be a video, so you can always request us to offer a short clip under natural light to help you decide better.

International shipping is an option of Fedex or EMS, depending on value of parcel, and speed required by the the customer.
